Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 29, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Gitdoro ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our website, web application, and integrations (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture (either provided directly or via OAuth providers like GitHub).
  • Usage Data: We collect timestamps of your focus sessions, breaks, and related productivity metrics to provide our service.
  • Integration Data: When you connect third-party services (e.g., GitHub, Notion), we access data explicitly authorized by you, such as repositories, commits, or tasks.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase a premium subscription, billing information is securely processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full credit card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our Service.
  • To synchronize and display productivity data (e.g., matching focus sessions with your GitHub commits or Notion tasks).
  • To personalize your experience and generate reports/heatmaps.
  • To process transactions and send related billing information.
  • To communicate with you regarding updates, support, and promotional offers. When using our specialized tools like the GitHub Time Calculator, you may explicitly opt-in to receive tailored communication based on your development activity.
  • To improve our Service and develop new productivity features.

4. Third-Party Integrations

Gitdoro integrates with several third-party services. Our use of information received from these APIs adheres to their respective API Terms of Service and User Data Policies:

  • GitHub: We access your repositories and commits solely to provide productivity insights, such as matching focus sessions with coding activity or estimating total project time in our Calculator tool. We only request the minimum scopes necessary. Your source code content is never accessed, downloaded, or stored. We only store metadata (commit hashes, timestamps, repo names, line changes).
  • Notion: We access your connected databases/tasks to link them to your timers. We only read data specifically authorized during the OAuth flow.
  • Other Integrations: Services like Google Calendar, Trello, Jira, Slack, etc., communicate via authorized OAuth tokens. We do not store passwords for these services. Actions performed (e.g., changing Slack status) are only executed during active focus sessions.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data in the following situations:

  • With vendors and service providers assisting us in operating the Service (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting).
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect our rights and the safety of our users.
  • If you choose to make your profile public, certain aggregated statistics (like your focus heatmap and achievements) will be visible to others.

6. Data Security and Limitations

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk. We disclaim any liability for unauthorized access to our servers or any and all personal information stored therein, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data. You can manage your data primarily through your Account Settings or by contacting our support.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
